Registration
How do I register a new student?
International Academy of Smyrna is a tuition-free, state charter school open to scholars in grades K-5 who live in Cobb County. Each year, our current scholars have the opportunity to register for the upcoming school year. Based on the number of scholars who plan to return, we are able to determine how many spaces are available for new students.
Registration for new students begins on January 17, 2023. Applications received after February 25th will be placed on the “Late Admissions Waiting List” in the order applications are received.
If necessary, a lottery will be held. Acceptance and waitlist letters will be emailed once the lottery is completed.
NOTE: It is important that your email address is correct. If it changes, please send an email to ias.admissions@iasmyrna.org. We are not responsible for emails that bounce back. Also, be sure to check your SPAM.
Once the application process begins, please turn in all documents within two weeks of receiving your invitation to apply. If the documents are not received by the deadline, families will forfeit their seat(s) and we proceed to the next person on the “lottery waitlist.” Once this list has been exhausted, then we will send acceptance letters to families who registered after February 25th. This process will continue until all seats are filled.
